After many long, hard-fought years, a Lafayette jury has convicted a local man of rape and burglary in connection with a violent 2019 home invasion. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment to justice from our very own, Don Landry, Kenny Hebert, and Lance Beal, who were part of the legal efforts in this case that contributed to the successful prosecution and ultimately conviction. Their dedication reflects our firm’s commitment to handling serious, high-stakes matters in Lafayette and across Acadiana.

The trial began on March 10, 2026 with our own, Lance Beal & Kenny Hebert, serving as State prosecutors alongside District Attorney Don Landry. Don praised the prosecutors on the case and the victim, stating,

"This has been an ongoing case since 2019, and the defendant twice pled guilty then was allowed to withdraw those pleas, delaying justice for our victim by years. I applaud her for staying the course and helping us obtain a conviction against her attacker, who will now face justice for his actions..."

Beal & Hebert was proud to stand alongside and fight for this Lafayette victim whose bravery and resilience solidified that this man would not harm another again. As Acadiana’s Hometown Lawyers, we remain committed to advocating for our neighbors and delivering results when it matters most.
